Relationships
New Brief
My Brief
Changes
Master & Guest Room
  • Bedrooms should be grouped together, although the study / guest bedroom should be associated with the public areas of the house rather than the other bedrooms. Nevertheless, ensure that this room is also able to maintain some degree of privacy when in use by guests.
  • Studio space in bedroom must be separated metaphorically
  • The bedroom and studio space must interact in some way with the exterior shallow body of water (pond)
  • Must not be visible from the gallery or any public areas of the house, it is to be strictly a private area
  • The master bedroom and guest room will not be grouped together to ensure the privacy in both rooms
  • the master and guest bedroom wont be grouped and will be separated by the body of water to increase privacy
W.I.R.
  • the walk in robe should be used as a buffer between the bedroom and ensuite. Can also be used as an entrance into bedroom suite, but then must have doors on robes to make it look better
  • The master bedroom will include a ensuite and walk in robe W.I.R.
  • The W.I.R. Is considered as a separate room as well as the ensuit, therefore it will act as a buffer between the bedroom and ensiut
Master Bedroom
  • would like a small balcony off of the master bedroom
  • The master bedroom will include a Juliet Balcony
Kitchen
  • kitchen to be the hub of the house
  • The kitchen is not to be totally different to the rest of the house, but it is not intended to exemplify the same of the clients works, unlike the rest of the house
  • The kitchen will be a hub in the sense that it will act as a break from the rest of the houses design scheme. However the main hub of the house will be the pubic gallery
Galleries
  • kids play room to be associated with bedrooms 2+3

  • As the kids room is replaced with a public and private gallery, it is not possible to make them associated with the bedrooms
Garage
  • garage to have internal access from house

  • As adjacent to the garage will be a laundry and storage space there will be internal access to the house
